a new association, which will carry on the work that began with the Federation of Associations of Counselling Therapists in Alberta (FACT-Alberta). Bill 30 received Royal Assent Dec. 11, 2018 and creates the new College of Counselling Therapy of Alberta under the Health Professions Act to regulate about 5,000 counselling therapists, addiction counsellors and child and youth care counsellors. Upon proclamation the Association of Counselling Therapy of Alberta (ACTA) will transition to the College of Counselling Therapy of Alberta (CCTA).
