Alberta Health has announced that regulated health professionals that provide direct patient care which includes face-to-face interactions with patients/clients, or who have frequent interaction with Albertans who are at high-risk or are COVID positive will be eligible for the COID-19 vaccine as part of the Phase 2C vaccine roll out. Eligibility in Phase 2C also includes office and support staff of regulated health professionals who also have face-to-face contact with patient/clients.
AFRHP encourages regulated health professionals to be vaccinated when they become eligible.
As a trusted source of information for Canadians, healthcare workers will be integral in ensuring vaccine uptake and safe COVID behaviour across the population. You can be an effective advocate for safe behaviour and vaccination.https://www.19tozero.ca/hcw
